GENTLE GIANT ALERT. Snickers is the type of horse everyone is looking for and having trouble finding. He is safe, dependable, quiet, kid gentle, extremely smooth, flashy, and the perfect age at only 9 years old. He is 16 hh and every bit of 1250 pounds, big boned and with big black feet. Snickers is good minded and kind, always eager to do anything you ask of him. He loves people, when you want to catch him all you have to do is whistle and he will nicker back at you and then come walking up to put his head in the halter. Snickers is gentle and stays that way, even if he is not ridden regularly. He has been used on the ranch to push and sort cattle, ridden in the mountains of Colorado, has been used on multi-day trail rides, and has had both kids and beginners ride him. Snickers has the smoothest trot and rocking horse lope, so while he is big he is easy to ride and incredibly comfortable. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He has a good one handed neck rein, a light mouth and good stop, will take both leads, and work a gate. Snickers doesn’t mind carrying a flag, and he rides just as good bareback with a halter as he does with a saddle and bridle. He isn’t gate sour or barn sour, gets along with other horses, has excellent ground manners, and stands quietly tied. He is a farrier’s dream and can go barefoot or shod. Snickers loves kids and knows when they are on his back, and is extra careful with them. My two boys can groom him and lead him and I don’t have to worry about them. He is very sure footed and watches where he puts his feet, and will go up, over or through anything you point him at. Snickers can be ridden by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden along side the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it.
