Description:
Magpie, is a big absolutely gorgeous gelding with great structure, bone, and balance that just happens to be painted with the perfect amount of black and white. This gelding was born in raised in the Sandhills of Nebraska. He’s never been a day without employment from working at the local sale-barns pushing cattle to riding pasture lands where the hardgrass meets the Sandhills. Magpie is a kind gentleman with great manners. He rides on a loose rein, on handed and looks straight through the bridle reins.

Magpie knows a thing or two because he’s seen a thing or two, you won’t show him anything new when you take this guy to use. He’s prowled pastures, doctored yearlings, been used to pen back on, loaded trucks and just been trail ridden to. Magpie has coved lots of country outside. He will ride out by himself and never look back. He will go over, under, or through where ever your heart desires. He has an easy-to-ride style and will never refuse your hand. True one hand broke! Magpie will collect up as well. He is soft in the bridle.

Magpie lopes circles in both directions, will drag his tail end, stays standing still till you ask him to step off. He’s got a comfortable jog trot, and a sweet lope.

Magpie is a very versatile horse and I truly believe he would make a beautiful dressage horse or hunter. He has lovely floating stride and jumps over logs very willingly out on the trail.

Magpie is safe, sound, and sane. He loads, unloads, stands for farrier, stands to saddle, easy to bridle. Super easy to catch. He gets along with other horses in the pasture great and stalls good as well.

We’re proud to offer him for sale and can’t wait to see his future with the next individual. Horses with Magpies demeanor are to find, he likes you as much as you like him. He is ready to go to work for you whether you want use him as ranch horse, trail horse, or start him in the arena.
