Description:
Monterrey is a nice gentle ranch gelding, 17 years old and 14.1-14.2 hh. He originally came out of Mexico and sells as grade. He has been ridden by a ton of kids over the years, both in the arena and out on trails. We bought him from a family friend who had owned him for nearly 6 years. Monterrey is extremely smooth and comfortable to ride. He has an excellent neck rein, stops easily, and is good on both leads. He is short but stout enough to carry a man, with good bone and good feet. Asking $1650. He is easier to catch with feed than without. Monterrey does have some arthritis in his back end. It does not hurt him to be ridden, he does not require any maintenance, but it is there. Monterrey is safe, rides quietly on a loose rein, and will keep you safe and comfortable.
