Shanequa

5 year old Gypsy x Quarter Horse cross mare

After some heavy consideration we’ve decided to offer Shanequa to the public before we consign her some where this fall. We’ve had a handful of offers on her the past few months.



She stands 14.3 hands and loves to go. She’s been used to gather the big circles here in the Sandhills. I’ve rode her to ride yearlings out on grass along with moving yearlings and pairs to summer range. During calving season we paired out on her. Shanequa is to the point she really wants to watch a cow. I’ve logged her several times and have drug a handful of calves to the branding fire on her and she took it like a champ. She’s been sacked out and laid down multiple times. Crosses water and knows where her feet are. This little mare really wants to ride and turn around. Soft and supple in the face and body. Big stop, soft back, nice pivot both ways, side passes both ways, etc. Currently riding her in just a d ring snaffle but will be moving her up to a short shank here real soon. Good to trim, catch, load, saddle, bathe, only thing I haven’t don’t yet is clip her.



She is not a kids horse currently as she is not completely finished, so don’t ask me that please. She’s real gentle but likes to go. No buck or rear. Can be a bit sassy but that’s a mare for ya. Will continue to be used on the ranch.
