Talk about a fancy prime aged Draft Cross gelding all wrapped up in a beautiful buckskin hide. Yellowstone as we call him is a gentle buttermilk buckskin draft cross 5 yr old gelding that stands 15.3 hands tall. He is the kind that everyone is looking for, young pretty, gentle and broke! He has been a very easy horse to put through our program and absolutely loves to learn new things. He has a wonderful, laid-back personality that just melts your heart when you come to the barn to meet him. Yellowstone comes from an Amish farm where he learned to do all kinds of chores. He can be ridden in all types of terrain and does not get bothered by traffic dogs or deer. We have just got back from Colorado and we were riding in the mountains and doing shed antler hunting. We have also ponied colts and other horse with him and it does not bother him at all. We have even ridden Yellowstone through town. Yellowstone goes over tarps, logs and other obstacles with ease. He goes through creeks and lakes with no fuss at all. He has been on lots of different types of trail rides and does not mind to be the leader or he does not mind to follow as well. He can be ridden off alone without a fuss. He is great on the trailer, stands quiet single tied or in the cross ties. He has been kept out in the field and also in the stall and does not have any bad habits. He will come right to you when you call, and is not a bully in the pasture at all. He minds his own when with a herd of horses. Yellowstone is wearing shoes all around because of where we ride him, and he does great for the farrier and for the vet as well. We have taken him through the obstacles on the trail and in the ring and he does not seem to blink an eye to anything new at all. He can be ridden bareback and he has three very smooth, easy-to-ride gaits. He will walk, jog and canter and knows his leads well. He even goes bareback and bridle less and does some fun tricks such as laying down and setting on his butt like a dog. Yellowstone has been a favorite for us in the barn, and does not mind all the attention or he does not get upset if left to sit for a while. He is one that the children take turns riding him. With his great size, he would work for all different ages and sizes of riders and with his kind, willing mind he is also wonderful for different levels of riders.
