Description:
We are in search of a well qualified, committed and driven employee in the beautiful sandhills in Springview, NE.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of cattle and practices such as calving and doctoring. We are a commercial cow/calf operation and run a backgrounding operation as well. In the summer months we put up quite a bit of hay and fix fence. Knowledge of machinery haying equipment, feed wagons, pay loader and skid steer would be beneficial. We have nice facilities and well maintained equipment. We do have a few pivots so irrigation knowledge would be a plus. We have a lot of electric cross fences, so knowledge of electric fence maintenance is a very beneficial.

This in NOT a full time horseback position. We do use horses to pair out and move cattle to and from pasture, but we use rangers to check pastures and doctor in the summer as we are so spread out we do not have enough time to use horses. We will provide feed for 1 horse to be used on the ranch. If you bring more than 1 that will be your expense. Horse experience is not required.

We do NOT use dogs with our cattle. Pets are NOT allowed in our housing.

This is a family run and managed operation that expects the employee to work on their own at times and work well with others if needed. You need to be able to stay busy without constant supervision, be a self starter and a problem solver.

This position will include night calving!

Wages will be hourly based on experience. Housing is provided. Aflac is available. Other benefits will be discussed at interview.
