If you are looking for a safe, gentle, handy using horse that the entire family can enjoy, then take a look at Peanut. She has the heart of a big horse but in a little package, standing 13.3hh, but she is big enough for a man to ride. She is the same horse every time you ride her, and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick, or take off. She is very solid and there is absolutely nothing that bothers her or spooks her. Peanut has been used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, dragging calves to the fire, and checking fence. She would be an excellent horse for a weekend rancher that wanted something safe to check cattle with, or even the grandkids to ride out on the ranch with grandpa and learn how to rope and work cattle. Peanut is 18 years old but don’t let her age fool you, she is sound and healthy and can still put in a days work if you ask her to. As quiet as she is she would make a good little Jr Rodeo horse or playday horse too. She is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, will work a gate, and will go up, over or through anything you ask her to. Peanut has good hard feet and has never worn shoes, even in the rocks. She rides quietly on a lose rein, has a very good handle and a smooth trot and lope. She will only go as fast as her rider asks her to and is a push style horse, but is not lazy. She can be ridden by herself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. She has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $4,500. She recently had feet, teeth and coggins done so she is ready to go.
