We are located in the Texas Panhandle and have ranching roots in the area spanning over 125 years. Our enterprises consist of low-input cow-calf production, custom grazing, and a bull leasing program. Our land base is 95% leased and is broken over three main units, with the biggest seasonal lease being approximately one hour from headquarters. We use cell grazing where feasible and seasonal rotations on pasture further from home. Our bull leasing customers range from Texas to Montana, with most being within a 5-hour drive of headquarters. We have absolutely no farming and have minimal, but well-maintained ranch equipment. A big part of why we exist is to encourage people who are passionate agriculture and to show that a fun, profitable, and beautiful ranching lifestyle really can be achieved! We appreciate the flexibility that ranching affords as far as family life and use horses as well as UTVs to accomplish ranch objectives. Position: Ranch foreman Responsibilities: Management and care of cow-calf and seasonal stocker enterprises (i.e., assisting COO starting light calves and running them through summer grazing season, year-round care of cow-calf herd). Fence, water, vehicle maintenance. Delivering bulls and limited customer relations with lease customers throughout the year. Qualifications: Experience starting unweaned calves is a must. Low-stress stockmanship is expected on horseback as well as in a UTV where applicable. Tech skills to use iPhone notes, mapping and grazing apps, email, and basic Excel are required. Basic horsemanship skills are expected. We believe there is no substitute for honesty, integrity, and strong work ethic. Salary/Benefits: Compensation to include pay of $55,000 as contract labor or $50,000 as regular employee. Grass and feed for up to 2 horses, ranch pickup included. After vetting process of one year, employee is eligible to utilize pasture for up to 15 animal units ($3000 value) and a 1.5% pay increase. Housing and health insurance are not provided.
