Gentle. Pretty. Well Broke. Athletic. Sweet Natured. If this is the type of horse you are looking for, then take a look at Clown. Whether you need a good using horse, a fancy broke trail horse, or are looking for a horse to take to the arena and make a performance horse out of, Clown can do it. He is a 9 year old bay gelding, 15hh and very well built with a big hip, pretty head and a kind eye, and plenty of chrome. He sells as GRADE, he is registered and out of old foundation cow horse stock but we did not receive his papers when we bought him. Clown started out life as a ranch horse, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. We have ponied colts off of him and they can literally climb all over him and it won’t bother him. In recent years Clown has been ridden on trails, ridden English, worked a ton of cattle, done all sorts of obstacles, and has even played around at some playdays. He is stout and tough, and rides quietly on a loose rein but is very responsive with a big motor and plenty of speed when you ask him for it. Clown is gentle and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick, or take off, and is very willing and good minded. With some finishing out he would make an excellent western dressage horse or ranch versatility horse, as he is a very pretty mover and cowy and will do obstacles with ease. Clown has a good handle and stop, is very athletic and quick footed, will sidepass, move off your leg, and work a gate. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He will go up, under or through anything you point him at. Clown can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. He is gentle but due to his athletic ability he would be best suited to an intermediate or better rider. Asking $7800. Clown has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe. He loves people and enjoys attention. He is UTD on everything.
