Description:
“Hershel” is a true all-around ranch, arena and trail horse that is quiet minded, easy going and uncomplicated. This big guy would be suitable for just about anyone. He is a 13 year old AQHA registered gelding and stands just over 16.1 hands. We have used him for all aspects of ranch work from sorting, gathering and trailing pairs to dragging calves to the fire at branding time and doctoring yearlings out in the pasture. He walks out nicely and has a smooth ground covering long trot that is easy to sit and is always quiet, dependable and surefooted when the trail gets rough or disappears altogether! Hershel is fun to ride in the arena and has a good neck rein, takes both leads, lopes circles on a loose rein and has a good stop and back up. He moves easily off of your leg and will side pass right up to gates to open or close them. Hersh has a sweet personality, excellent ground manners and gets along well with the other horses. Gentle and 100% sound. $12,500
