POSITION SUMMARY:

Serve as manager of stocker yearlings and replacement heifer development.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Coach employees feeding and caring for yearlings (5000 hd) and replacement heifers (1000 hd).

* Receive, wean, sort and monitor the health of calves in background lot and grazing out.

* Reach target weight goals for steers going to grass and heifers to be bred.

* Manage pasture and cornstalk rotations.

* Keep detailed records of inventory, fed feed, and movement of cattle.

* Work directly with Ranch Manager, Herd Health Manager and Office Manager.

* Assist with general ranch operations.



COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

* Interpersonal and communication skills

* Management experience (preferred)

* Livestock experience
