There are 2 parcels next to each other and 100 acres. 2 homes sit on the property. This position would have the availability of living on the property in a brand new 2 bedroom manufactured home. Duties are below but there might be additional responsibilities added in time. This position would be nicely filled by a couple working together as more personal assistant items would be implemented for the right people, However a single person will also be considered. • Inspect farm or ranch structures, such as buildings, fences, or roads, repair or maintenance activities, as needed. • Direct the care of stock, such poultry, or honeybees, goats, llamas. • Assisting in care of homeowners dogs. • Maintain financial, operational, production for the ranch. • Perform activities such as irrigation, chemical application, grading and plowing to ensure adherence to safety regulations or standards. • Assist in necessary for purchases of machinery, land, supplies, or livestock. • Select or purchase machinery, equipment, livestock, or supplies, such as seed, feed, fertilizer, or chemicals. • Supervise the construction of farm or ranch structures, such as buildings, fences, drainage systems, wells, or roads. • Inspect farm or ranch equipment to ensure proper functioning. • Demonstrate or explain working techniques, practices, or safety regulations to farm or ranch workers/contracted workers. • Monitor, repair and adjust irrigation systems to distribute water according to irrigation needs and to avoid wasting water • Management of homes and all vendors. • Care of personal animals when the owner is traveling. • Experience in caring for animals • Trades skill sets for minor repairs and vehicle maintenance • Able to legally work in the U.S. • Experience in a similar position, including 5+ years working in a farm environment and around Ranch animals. • Experience in northern climates, winters, and high-altitude experience is preferred. • Excellent English communication. • Physically fit to perform job duties, to include: lift/carry, use of ladders and tools, etc. • Valid and clean driver license. • Clean background (pre-employment background check) • Owners need a take-charge person to handle maintenance and animals. • Caretaker takes responsibility for the property while the owners are away. • Vehicle maintenance – including farm equipment/vehicles and principal’s personal vehicles. Ensure all are well-maintained wash principal’s personal vehicles after or before use. • Hands-on and oversee seasonal gardens. • Seasonal snow removal. • Hire, train, schedule and supervise seasonal and part-time employees and contractors. • Take overall responsibility for the property when principals are away. • Maintenance of gating systems and overall security of property Posted 07-30-21 6231 visitors have viewed this ad
