Description:
Full-time cowboy positions in Bloody Basin, Arizona (between Camp Verde and Cave Creek) on a remote large cow/calf operation. Must be able to ride, feed, and shoe horses. Must have your own saddle, tack, and chaps. You will do most of your work horseback in rocky steep country (where real cowboys want to be). No need to rope, just need to be able to move cattle with minimal stress and know how to mother up cattle. A calf table/chute is used for branding for safety reasons. Must be willing to repair fences and ride daily. Housing and beef provided. Electricity is provided by generator which can only be ran enough to maintain refrigeration then turned off. Water is provided by springs. Headquarters is approximately three hours from any grocery store and a reliable personal vehicle is a must. Ranch will provide truck and trailer for ranch work. Please only apply if you want to live remotely and know how to shoe a horse and are willing to put in long hours to get the job done when needed. We understand that with ranching your job will never be done but we are just asking for you to give it your best effort. Like grandpa always said: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
