If you are looking for a gentle young horse that you can ride on the ranch and on trails, one that won’t get you hurt, is the same every time you ride it, and has very smooth gaits, then take a look at Marigold. She is a cute 4 year old dappled palomino mare, 14.2 hh and nicely built with a pretty head and a kind eye. Marigold is half quarter horse, is registered, and was born on August 24th, 2016. I am selling her on consignment for her second owner, who has done all of her training and riding. Marigold is one of the gentlest young horses I have ever ridden, with the most amazing temperament. She has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, even when first saddled. Marigold is extremely friendly and personable, and absolutely nothing spooks her. The video was her first time ever going through the creek, carrying a flag, having a rope swung off of her, and crossing the road, and she handled it all without any issues whatsoever. Marigold has been ridden English and western, both in the arena and out in the pasture, has jumped over some crossrails and she has been used to push cattle. With some more miles she will make an amazing kids horse. My 5 year old son rides her all by himself in the round pen, and she tries her best to do everything he asks of her. I am not recommending her as a horse for small children at this point, but she would be a great project for an older, experienced youth. Marigold is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and rides quietly on a loose rein. She will not go any faster than you ask her to, but will easily step into a trot or lope when asked, as long as she feels that the rider will be safe with her going faster. Marigold has a nice stop, will lope pretty circles, and has the smoothest trot and rocking horse lope. She is a beautiful mover, and will excel in whichever direction her new owner wants to take her. She can be ridden by herself or with other horses, and is not barn sour or herd sour. Asking $7500. Marigold is UTD on coggins, teeth floating and vaccinations.
