Seasonal Work - High Country - Gunnison, Colorado



Recently acquired a new ranch that has seasonal access. This property lies between 9600 and 10800 feet elevation. There is a 3000 square foot hunting lodge at that top of property. There is also several outbuildings.



I am looking for someone to work up on the ranch from 6/1 - 9/15. The ranch needs lots of upgrading. Here are a number of the projects that are on my mind listed in no specific order:



1. Fire remediation around cabin and out buildings.

2. Cleaning and organizing out buildings.

3. Fence maintenance - I do hire a separate crew who fixes the fences once the snows officially retreat, usually mid June.

4. Fire wood cutting.

5. Installation of several hunting blinds.

6. Prepare burn piles for fall burn.

7. Improvements on the deeded water ponds.

8. Over see upgrades on solar and generator systems. (I will have experts coming to upgrade, just need to be present etc.)

9. Replace and install new ranch signs (renaming ranch)

10. Install new trail signs.

11. Clean and organize garage.

12. Build new firewood storage shed.

13. Repair trails and roads from runoff.

14. Other projects.



I have leased out the grazing for the property for this summer.



If you like living in the high country, are independent and don’t mind hard work, this may be a great summer job.



Property is fairly remote. Housing would be included at lodge. (If my family would come up in the summer, we would likely put you up in hotel for couple nights)
