Description:
This horse is the real deal. He has had to work for a living every day of his life and is the type of horse that doesn’t come up for sale very often. Tequila is a 14 year old chestnut gelding bred, raised and trained on the Clark Cattle Company in Breckenridge, Texas, and ridden by the bossman himself. He is an exceptional gelding with a ton of talent and athletic ability, and he rides exactly the way a ranch horse should ride. Tequila is very well built, 15.1 hh and stout, weighing close to 1250 pounds. He has a big hip, wide chest, a big foot and plenty of bone. Tequila is very well bred, by an own son of Dual Pep and AQHA registered as “CC Sables Tequila”. Check out his complete pedigree at: https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/cc+sables+tequila He has been used in the feedyard and on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, colts, and checking fence. He has roped bulls and drug them into the trailer, and tied down more calves than most ranch horses could ever dream of. Tequila is cowy and strong to the horn, and has no quit in him. He has been taught to travel out in the pasture and isn’t afraid to put in a solid day’s work. He has an excellent handle and stop, a very smooth trot and rocking horse lope that you could sit to all day long, will ground tie, is good on both leads, very quick footed, will sidepass and work a gate. Tequila is gentle and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and is very willing, good minded and smart. He is very responsive and has plenty of gas if you need it, but if not he will walk quietly out in the pasture on a loose rein. Tequila is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He will go up, under or through anything you point him at. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Tequila has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. He is your typical ranch horse, not used to treats or spoiling, just being used, so he is not a horse suitable for beginners or children. Asking $7500. Tequila has good ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe. He recently had shoes, teeth and coggins done so he is ready to go.
