Description:
Whiskey is a 9yr old, 15.3 hand, 1300 lb bay ranch gelding bred and raised by the famous Waggoner Ranch in W Texas and carries their brands. He is an own son of Woody Be Tuff and out of a daughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey. This is an exceptionally nice ranch gelding that is as broke as they come and has the mind to go with it. Tended lots of cattle in big rough country and is as good a outside horse as you’ll find. He has been shown in all the ranch horse classes, will lope a purty circle, change leads, spin, stop and watch a cow like a little cowhorse, but big enough to rope a bull or drag big calves all morn’n. Been in plenty of tough ranch’n situations and always keeps his cool. Whiskey is very gentle and stays that way with a layoff. He has a cool look, real deep thru his girth with a big ol set of withers to hang a saddle on, tons of bone and foot, he wears a #2 shoe. Will flat run one down to rope and handle it with ease, walk off on a loose rein when he is done. Whiskey is a great head horse prospect if you chose to go that route, but no doubt one of the best ranch geldings I’ve owned.
