Description:
Cow/calf ranch in western Nebraska Sandhills seeking motivated person for cattle ranch. Full time, long term employment opportunity for the right person. We are looking for the fit, enthusiastic person to work along side owner but can work alone when necessary. This is a physical job requiring mechanical skills, equipment operation, care of livestock, flexible time off, general mechanical interest, and preferred welding experience. Driver’s license required, and experience with driving large equipment is a must. We are serious about our work, but want to make it as enjoyable as possible. We would love to have a positive, up-beat person to match our personalities. Duties include but are not limited to feeding with large bale processor, haying, general cattle care, mechanical skills in all sorts of motorized equipment and moving parts, welding to repair equipment and fencing, barbed wire fencing and corral repair, critical thinking, checking water and small fixes on windmills. Housing is provided 1/4 mile from the main house and gives privacy for both of us. Nice accomodations. Multi bed/bath, deck, quiet. House and reasonable utilities are part of the compensation package. Beef can be negotiated after a probationary period. Salary is negotiable based on experience. A probationary period will be used to establish that you have the skills you profess.
