Description:
Woody is an extremely well bred and well made bay gelding, 7 years old, 15.1hh and close to 1250 pounds. He is extremely friendly, willing and good minded and really enjoys attention. He is AQHA registered as “Moores Praire Wood” #5541521, and is an own son of PC Gunner Wood and out of an own daughter of Capitol Letters. Check out his complete pedigree at: https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/moores+praire+wood Woody has been on a ranch in New Mexico for most of his life, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. He is cowy and strong to the horn. Woody rides quietly on a loose rein but has a ton of speed when you ask him for it. He is content to walk quietly all day long if you prefer and is more of a push type horse. He is very gentle and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and would be suitable for an intermediate or better rider. Woody is an excellent trail horse and is just as happy taking a leisurely stroll down the trails as he is doing a days work on the ranch. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and will go up, over or through anything you point him at. Woody has an excellent one handed neck rein and a light mouth with a good stop. He is good on both leads, will sidepass and work a gate. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $6500. Woody has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe. He recently had shoes, teeth and coggins done so he is ready to go.
