Requirements: We are looking for someone with herd management experience in checking and caring for cattle. We will not hire someone with little experience or looking to learn; you must be able to spot a sick or lame cow/calf and properly care for cattle, no exceptions (caring for cattle is basically the whole job so if you’re not qualified please don’t apply). Job will also include gathering on horseback and working and sorting cattle so we’re wanting someone with knowledge on handling cattle and is easy to work with and enjoyable to be around. Majority of the time you’ll be in a feed truck checking cows; we expect our employees to take care of their feed tuck and be responsible for letting us know when maintenance or mechanic work needs scheduled (and keeping your feed truck clean). Someone who will respect our equipment and property and treat it as their own. We do not allow smoking.

Job is mainly throughout the week days but sometimes we work on weekends; during the winter time you’ll switch off with other employees to make sure cattle are fed during the weekends (that schedule is flexible). Haying season will also include weekends.

Other job requirements (but not limited to): brush hogging, fence work, cleaning the chute and alley, haying, setting up wheel corral, etc…

Has to be honest, hard-working, and has a good attitude. We’re NOT looking for someone who wastes time talking or holding others up from their job, but someone who can keep themselves busy when working alone or with others. We will check references and require 3 or more references from previous or current jobs; no family or friends references, please.

Pay will be based on your experience and housing can be discussed.
