Description:
We are looking for a responsible, self motivated and dependable farm/ranch hand. Hours would be 6:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 11:30 am on Saturdays. (Hours will shift to 7 am to 4:30 pm at the time change)

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

-feed/care for cattle

-check pastures daily, mostly by atv, truck or tractor. **THIS IS NOT A HORSEBACK POSITION**

-doctor sick cattle in the pasture with dart gun or help pull/pen sick cattle by atv (this position will be depended on to spot problems/sickness in the pasture via atv/truck. If the cattle must be caught/doctored on horseback, we do have a great team of cowboys to handle this.)

-feed hay, mineral or supplemental feed where needed

-Ensure clean water daily

-help process cattle at the chute

-help sort, prepare orders

-feed and care for horses

-feed/water and care for working dogs

-check, repair/maintain and build fencing

-some light farming/fertilizer application

-Vehicle/Machinery maintenance

-groundskeeping (spray weeds/mesquites, shred, tree removal with skid-steer, pen cleaning with skid-steer)



Skills desired

-basic knowledge of operating equipment (tractor, skid steer, shredder, 4 wheeler, trucks, trailers, feeders)

-basic knowledge of cattle and horses

-basic knowledge of ranch operations

-basic mechanical skills

-must be in good physical condition and able to lift at least 50 lbs.



Experience

-Must have at least 3 years cattle experience.

-Must have at least 1 year ranch/ranch equipment experience.

-Feed yard experience would be a huge plus.



Pay

$600-750 per week, dependent on qualifications.

Paid vacation and sick time included.

Retirement offered.

Does not include living space on the ranch.
