If you are looking for gentle, good looking, young, versatile and well broke, then check out Blue. She is a really cool blue roan mare, 7 years old and 15.1hh, nicely built and very ranchy looking with a long thick mane, plenty of bone, a pretty head with a kind eye and hard black feet. She is AQHA registered as Badgerblue Luna Lena #5564957. She has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and is very careful when kids are around her. She is gentle enough for children to ride in the round pen, and anyone from an advanced beginner on up could have a lot of fun on her. Blue has done so many different things, from trail riding, to doing obstacles, to being packed on in the Colorado mountains, and pushing cattle. She is very brave and has never refused to do any obstacle that is put in front of her. We have swung a rope and drug logs on her but never roped anything off of her, and have found very little that bothers her. Blue is extremely sure footed and rides barefoot even in the rocks and hills, and will go up, over or through anything you point her at. She was even used a little bit over the summer at a therapy camp for kids, and they loved her for her calm nature and easy going disposition. Blue is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. She rides quietly on a loose rein, moves out well so you don’t have to pedal her along, and has the smoothest trot that you could ride all day long without ever getting sore. Blue has a good neck rein, an amazing rocking horse lope, is good on both leads, will sidepass, and work a gate. She is a very pretty mover and direct reins as well so she would even make a good English horse. Blue can be ridden out by herself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. She has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Blue has been hauled all over Texas and Colorado to different ranches and state parks and she rides just as quietly in a new place as she does at home. She has had the same owner for the last 4 years, ad only available for sale due to a shift in focus to a show horse instead of a trail horse. Asking $10,000.
