Adams Land & Cattle, LLC (ALCC) is a progressive, family owned cattle feeding business, located in Broken Bow, Nebraska. ALCC began in 1945 as a small dairy farm on 300 acres east of Broken Bow. Today, ALCC remains family-owned, but has grown into a multi-location operation with finishing lots in Nebraska and more than 100 backgrounding locations throughout the US and Canada.



We are looking for a highly skilled individual to provide quality and efficient maintenance support in all aspects of the feedlot. This welder position is located at our South Feedlot in Broken Bow, Nebraska.



This person will be responsible for:

- Ensuring safety is a priority for one’s self, as well as all employees.

- Supporting the Adams Land & Cattle Safety Program and exemplifying safety expectations.

- Repairing and maintaining feedlot facilities and equipment, including but not limited to processing barns, mobile vet units, feed mill, equipment, water, power, and sprinklers.

- Welding (MIG and arc) to complete repairs and new fabrication.

- Machining parts that are used throughout the feedlot operation.

- Maintaining welding/machining equipment in a good state of repair.

- Repairing/maintaining hydraulic, plumbing, and water systems.

- Completing electrical, carpentry, concrete, and/or fencing work in support of feedlot operations.

- Supporting the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the feedlot sprinkler system.

- Completing priority projects by target due dates.

- Completing quality work, right the first time.

- Supporting workplace organizational efforts.



Ideal candidate would possess the following skill set and experience:

- Welding and/or machining skills.

- Experience with mechanical applications.

- Excellent verbal communication.

- High attention to detail.

- Commitment to safety and quality culture.

- Individual must be team-oriented.

- Any electrical, hydraulic, and water systems experience is helpful.



This position requires:

- Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, and lifting/lowering frequently; pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, reaching/handling/grasping, and kneeling/crouching occasionally; crawling and stairs rarely.



Eligible for up to a $5,000 Hiring Bonus
