Mr. Glover spent over 50 years breeding outstanding performance horses. This youngster has the capabilities of living up to Stanley’s expectations. Through no fault of his, he sort of got put on the back burner as a yearling, two year old, and much of his three year old year. However, I started him last fall and his response has been great. Much of his education has been at the local livestock auction where I have used him to push cattle, sort cattle, open and close gates and do whatever necessary. He has a decent stop, side passes both directions, very soft both in the face and sides, very gentle, easy to catch both in corral or in a 160 acre pasture, readily loads in a one horse or larger trailer. He has a nice walk; however I think he has a great, smooth trot which along with his color influenced his name SMOOTH AS SMOKE 101. Smokey is wearing his everyday clothes—no bridle path—no fetlocks trimmed. What you see is what you get. Certainly not a big horse (14.1) but he is not aware of it. The foundation is laid---the finished product depends on the new owner. There is no question as to his trainability as I was 81 years old when I started him. Asking $3,000.
