Checkers is a 13yr old, grade, b/w paint gelding that’ll stand right between 14.3hh and 15hh. This guy is super personal and gentle. Very much an in your pocket type that anyone can get along with.

Checkers has been rode in the arena, on the ranch, down the trails, and even through town without any problem. He is not spooky and we haven’t found one thing that even makes him look. Dogs, mowers, tractors, trains, traffic, other horses acting a fool, flags, tarps, brush, and water don’t bother him at all.

He picks up both leads, keeps his head level, stands for you to get on/off, trailers great, easy to saddle/bridle, stands for baths, one handed broke, and is gentle both on his back and on the ground. If you can sit in the saddle, you can ride this horse. He’s never offered to buck even with a few weeks off and is easy to get along with. Perfect candidate for someone looking for a parade/grand entry horse or even just an everyday riding partner.
