Description:
Pearce Trust is seeking a ranch manager for our ranch near Buckeye, NM. The manager is responsible for daily ranch operations and assisting with our other ranches. This ranch is mainly a cow-calf operation with some yearlings run in good years. Compensation package includes salary (depending on experience), truck and trailer for ranch use, housing, utilities, and beef.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee 500 head of cows plus yearlings.

Assist with operations on our other ranches.

Neighbor with nearby ranches during spring and fall works.

Keep windmills and electric wells in good working order.

Maintain ranch roads.

Repair fences and mechanical equipment.

Maintain cleanliness, appearance, and organization of barns, houses, ranch vehicles, and equipment.

Prepare meals for ranch hands, when needed, during branding and weaning times.

REQUIREMENTS:

General ranching experience, with preference given to applicants with more than 10 years of experience.

Ability to weld and operate heavy equipment.

Skilled in horseback riding and cattle husbandry.

Physically able to work outdoors in all types of weather.

Work Monday through Saturday and on Sunday, if necessary.
