" Pecos" is super broke, gentle, and I’ll go ahead and state the obvious here - VERY easy on the eyes. Thick made gelding with a timeless, sturdy build. His conformation is impeccable; he has all the size and shape you could ever want, along with thick bone and hardy black feet. He has a lot of feel and is very broke, making him a blast to ride for someone more experienced that wants a horse with a lot of buttons, but is simple enough for just about anyone that hops on him to ride no matter their experience level. He truly is the best of BOTH worlds. He is fantastic out on the trail. Very sure footed regardless of mud, shifty rocks, deep sand, water, etc. Will navigate himself through thick brush step up/down rock embankments, cross logs, and so on. He rides out confidently and happily goes where ever you may ask him. Unphased by traffic, dogs, pedestrians, etc. This gelding has also put in some hours on the ranch - gathering, shipping, branding, and driving cattle to water. He is handy broke, picks up both leads, turns around both ways, has a great neck rein, and a fantastic stop - he always rides right between your reins and goes exactly where you point him. OR slip his bridle off and he will ride around just as good without it! This gelding is so versatile, you can pick him up into a slow jog right into an easy canter or he will long trot and cover some ground if you need him to then settle right back down and ride out on a loose rein. He’s the kind of horse that is so easy to ride and so smooth that you won’t have a problem riding him all day - in fact, you’ll enjoy it. "Pecos" has also been to a few sortings just for some competitive fun and at a beginner level - this guy excelled at it!
