He is a beautifully built 10 year old bay roan gelding, 15.2 hh and every bit of 1300 pounds. He is that cowboy color that everyone drools over, with a big hip, wide chest, a long mane and tail and a ton of bone. King is out of old foundation stock and is AQHA registered as “LT Be a King”, #5316420. King is just as happy putting in a days work as he is taking a leisurely stroll down the trail. He is extremely athletic and powerful, and would make a jam up head horse or even a Ranch Versatility Horse for someone wanting to get involved in showing. King has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, even if not ridden regularly. He spent the majority of his life on a ranch out in West Texas, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. The last couple years he has been used on a small hobby ranch, and has even been ridden by older youths. King is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He rides quietly on a loose rein, has been taught to travel out and cover some ground, and is very responsive and quick footed. He is good on both leads, will sidepass, and work a gate. We have ponied colts off of him and they can literally climb all over him and it won’t bother him. King is stout and tough, strong to the horn and good on the end of a rope, never getting excited or upset when working cattle. He is very cowy and excels in the sorting pen. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it.
