Description:
3 year old spayed McNab from Northern California (not papered). Started and used for the past 2 years to move anything from bulls, pairs, small groups of cattle on up to hundreds of stocker cattle.

Worked all summer in Montana where we managed a few thousand head on 2 ranches. She can keep up with you and your horse on those 25 mile days and ready to go again tomorrow. I also used her extensively in New Mexico to gather yearlings and cows in big country. I mostly use her to wing out to help me push or keep the sides in, to go behind a group to bring them to me, and to stop and turn flighty cattle or bulls.

A head dog with good release. Fast and athletic. She knows the common commands (down, come, behind, go by, away, hey, get ahead, bring ’em, there, look back, get in, etc). Doesn’t chase cats or chickens, loves people. Rides in your truck bed or on a quad, stays with you but of well out of the way if you’re on heavy equipment or have something roped. Will swim rivers and climb cliffs. She is not overly aggressive with cattle however and mostly works silently unless you’re trying to haze or push a group.

Only selling because she doesn’t fit in with our low-key pack--loads of energy when not working and wants to ’work’ other dogs if she’s left loose in the yard. She does well when put away in a kennel when she’s not being worked.

She does not try to play with other dogs when working however and is very focused on the job, and can be worked with another dog.
