Description:
Coal is a 2009 draft cross gelding that stands 16.1hh and weighs a solid 1400lb. We have known Coal since he was 3 yrs old and has been ridden by all ages and levels of riders. He is a solid mountain and trail horse that knows where to put his feet and handles rough terrain with ease. He will meet you in the pasture and is easy to catch, saddle, bridle, shoe and doctor. He is coal black and very easy on the eyes, he takes both leads and has very comfortable gaits. He has been used all over the ranch, from gathering the forest lease, to hunting and calving, he has been started on ranch roping and is proving to be very level headed through all the steps. He has the making of an excellent English/dressage mount and will be taken to local shows for exposure, he has been shown in working equitation and he gets noticed wherever he goes.
