Description:
Nice quiet 7 yr old gelding, big and stout, with no vices. Hasn’t been used much so still green. He was lightly started as a 3yr old, then was just a pasture pet for an older man until I acquired him this year. We did ground work and he spent 2 months under saddle with professional trainer this summer, he took to it easily and showed lots of try. He needs someone to continue his training. Unfortunately I am out of time and money for it, so he is just standing around eating bon bons again. He has the disposition to be a good youth, 4H, or beginner pleasure, trail, halter, or all around horse with more experience. He would probably not make a good speed event horse, but is a nice ride with a very smooth trot that is easy to sit. He greets you at the gate, sticks his head in the halter and follows, stands tied patiently, picks up feet and stands nicely for farrier, good with bath and fly spray, loads and hauls. Nothing much bothers him, even though he has not had much experience yet for his age. His dam was a foundation quarter horse and sire was APHA, but he is not registered. He is a dun with black points, but is often mistaken for a buckskin. If you see this add he is available, please don’t send messages just to ask if he’s available. And yes all photos are recent.
