Whether you are looking for a good using horse or a fun, athletic trail horse, DC will fit the bill. He is a cute black gelding, gentle and really nicely broke with plenty of handle and go for even an experienced rider to really enjoy. DC is 14,3 hh and nicely built, with a little chrome and a pretty head with a kind eye. He is 16 years old but sound and healthy with plenty of life left. He isn’t a big horse but has plenty of heart and will go all day long if you ask him to. DC came off of a ranch out in West Texas, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. He has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, even if not ridden regularly, but is a little too quick for a small child or beginner rider. DC is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water, and isn’t spooky. He has a really good handle, excellent stop, is good on both leads, will sidepass and work a gate. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it.
