If you are looking for a nice young prospect with a good foundation to use on the ranch or ride for pleasure, then take a look at Cuervo. They don’t come much better looking than he is, and on top of that he is gentle for just about anyone, very willing, and broke the way one should be. Cuervo is a 6 year old gelding, 15.1 hh and extremely well built with a big hip, wide chest, and pretty head and neck. He sells as grade and we do not know how he is bred. Cuervo is a nice ranch horse but would also make an excellent pleasure horse, ranch versatility horse or a competitive trail horse. Cuervo has been used in a feedyard and on a big ranch out in West Texas for all phases of ranch work, including roping and gathering cattle in the pasture, sorting pairs, and tagging and doctoring calves. He has the mind and experience of a horse much older, as he has seen miles and miles of riding in his lifetime. Cuervo is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He will go up, over or through anything you point him at, and is very sure footed. He has a good handle and stop, an easy one handed neck rein, is good on both leads, will work a gate, and will sidepass and work off your leg. Cuervo is laid back but not lazy, content to walk quietly all day long if you prefer but will easily step into a trot or lope when asked. He can be ridden by himself or with a large group of horses with no problem. Cuervo will leave the group willingly and will happily lead or follow. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and is not bothered by it. This is a nice young horse that is ready for someone to take him to the next level.
