Crockett Renalde is listed in Bit and Spur Makers in the Texas Tradition by Ned and Jody Martin. It is marked inside one cheek piece. This bit is shown in the Crockett Renalde catalog No. 65 on page 3. It is style #M1229 mtd. The bit is chrome plated steel mounted with nickel silver. The mouth piece has copper braces and brass cricket. There is some rust showing through on the mouth piece and inside the cheeks. This would be a nice bit to add to a collection or to use.
