Description:
We are looking for someone who is excited and passionate about production agriculture to assist us with our beef cow herd. This is an entry level position in which you would spend time doing the day to day work with the cattle operation as well as helping out with the cropping enterprise of our farm. Record keeping, organization, good communication skills, and reliability are essential. The candidate that we are looking for must be a team player, be open minded, and have a willingness to learn. Skills in range management, calving cows/heifers, back grounding calves, and equipment service are important but can be taught. We are a family owned and operated farm and want someone who is willing to become part of our team. All candidates must have a valid driver’s license, pass drug test, and pass a background check. We will help someone gain experience if they have the right attitude, commitment and drive to learn. We currently do not work or check cattle on horseback but we are not against the use of them if the qualified candidate prefers to utilize them. Salary starts at $400 per week plus housing.
