The straps were made by bit, spur and saddle maker Bruce Cheaney from Gainesville, Texas and the buckles were made by Pat Ray Castleberry from Whitesboro, Texas. They are both maker marked. The straps are made out of about 11 to 12 ounce oiled skirting leather and have a border stamp pattern. The straps are formed to fit your boot. The buckles are steel and are mounted with nickel silver. There is engraving in the steel around the steer head and wheat stalks are engraved between the mountings. The buckles are attached to the straps with copper rivets. The straps were on a pair of spurs for display and have not been worn. There is some light rust on the steel. These would make a great pair to wear or to display with a pair of spurs.
