Description:
This is a number 208 snaffle bit in unused condition made by the famous Billy Klapper. It is marked Klapper 208 on the outside of one cheek piece, Klapper on one bar of the mouthpiece and 208 on the other bar. Billy Klapper is from Pampa, Texas and in 1998 was named Spur Maker of the year by the Academy of Western Artists. Billy is listed in both the spur books by Ned and Jody Martin. This bit was probably built in the 1970’s. It is steel and some light rust has started. This would be a nice bit to use or to add to a collection.

Measurements: Cheek Pieces 8 9/16”, Mouth Between Cheeks 5 ¼”, Bars Diameter at the widest 9/16, Weight 1 pound 3.8 ounces
