Description:
Looking for a dependable hard-working individual/couple to live on-site and work on our 900 acre horse ranch in Clayton, CA. Responsibilities include grooming, feeding, blanketing, turnout, foaling, handling of foals, weanlings, and yearlings, clipping, show prep, managing grain/supplements, medications, keeping tack room and office clean and organized, keeping trail horses exercised, etc. Doesn’t include stall cleaning but the right person would be willing to help out if need be; other employees out sick, etc.



Must have experience with young horses and be confident and capable of handling foals, weanlings, and yearlings without supervision.



This is a privately owned facility, no client/boarder traffic. This is a great job for someone who would like to work on a large, beautiful, peaceful ranch, not for someone who needs constant social interaction.



Zero-tolerance of alcohol/drug abuse. No smoking. This could be a great opportunity for the right individual/couple. References required. Compensation includes salary, living on-site and all basic utilities paid.



Dogs/horses ok depending on size, breed, quantity, etc. No smoking or drinking allowed.



This is not a cattle oriented job, there are no cattle on the property.



Employee must live on-site, housing and utilities included. Housing is newer 5h wheel trailer with two pop outs, very clean. Could include board for one horse. Some pets ok.
