Description:
This is a really nice pair of lightly used handmade step in batwing chaps with a pistol pocket and knife pouch made by Clay Jackson of Encino, New Mexico. They have a handmade silver mounted belt buckle made by Sam Allen. They are maker marked with Clay’s stamp on the yoke and the back of the buckle is marked S Allen. These are heavy duty chaps. The body of the chaps is made out of about six ounce gold chap leather rough side out. The yokes are basket stamped skirting leather and are buck stitched around the edges with brown lace leather. There is a knife pouch on the yoke and the left leg inside pocket was made to fit a small caliber pistol. The right leg has a regular inside pocket. The chaps have eight stainless conchos and a stainless tie ring. There are additional slots on the legs and they can be taken up 1". As currently laced the upper thigh measures 25". There are not any holes or tears in the leather and there are stains from use. These would be a great pair of using chaps.

Waist -36” to 43”

Upper Thigh **-24" or 25”

Length (outside top of yoke to bottom)-40 ½”

Knee-open

Tie Ring outside diameter-2 1/8”

Conchos diameter-1 Ό”

Belt Strap Width-1”



** Measurement should be taken around the largest portion of the upper thigh. You will need an allowance for the inside pockets so these chaps will fit a thigh size of about 24 ½ to 24 Ύ” as currently laced or will fit a thigh of 23 ½” to 23 Ύ” if you re-lace to the smaller slots.
