Description:
This is a vintage silver mounted curb bit You can see the KB& on the outside of one of the cheek pieces. KB&P was a partnership between Kelly Brothers and Clyde Parker. Kelly Brothers and Parker were in business in Dalhart, Texas from 1912 and 1919. Pascal M Kelly is listed in Bit and Spur Makers in the Texas Tradition by Ned and Jody Martin and Kurt House. Someone scratched their initials in the silver on both sides . When laid flat on a table one ring sits about an 1/16” off the table. This would be a nice bit to add to your collection or it could still be used today.
