Location is about a 45 minute drive southeast of Amarillo, Texas in Clarendon. We operate two separate ranches (about 1 hour commute) and the successful candidate will be required to split there time between ranches. This position would be best suited for a married family man seeking to be part of a team. Schools in close proximity and off a paved road. We utilize modern equipment and methods to continuously progress our cowherd and expect our employees to be progressive. Prior experience with registered cattle operations is a plus. Seeking a cowman who knows how to follow protocol and understands this is a working ranch that requires 7 days a week and checking on cattle at night during calving season is required. Record keeping and good communication is MANDATORY. Requirements will include but are not limited to: proficiency in riding, roping, branding on a calf table, handling cattle in pens as well as open brushy country, working cattle horseback as well as on foot to accommodate the situation, general vet skills, fencing, welding, waterline and windmill repairs, equipment operations including maintaining yards, shredding, and spraying weeds. We offer a very competitive wage, health insurance allowance after 30 days, transportation for ranch uses, paid vacation after 1 year, 3 bedroom 2 bath house with central heat and air, utilities, garage, 1/2 beef a year, and feed for 4 head of horses.
