Looking for Ranch/Riding Help. Boerne, Tx



We are looking for someone to help with all barn and ranch chores, as well as riding horses. Our current rider is leaving for college next month and we are looking for someone new. We buy and sell horses so we need someone who isn’t afraid to hop on new horses when they come in, isn’t afraid of horses that may buck, and isn’t afraid of hard/dirty work.



The most important thing is reliability!.



Looking for someone Monday/Wednesday/Friday, minimum 6-8 hours per day depending on work load. Occasional Saturday hours may be required, and occasional trips to ride in Ingram may be required as well. Exact times are flexible but days are not. There is the potential for more hours if desired. Must be a skilled rider with the ability to lope around on the correct lead and use soft hands and a lot of patience. Pay every Friday, pay is depending on experience but we pay well and expect hard work in return.



We do not micromanage so we expect someone who can be given a list of tasks and perform them without any hand holding.



The types of tasks that might be required on any given day are as follows:



Clean stalls

Feed and water horses

Catching, grooming, bathing and saddling horses

Riding

Showing horses to prospective buyers

Unloading hay and feed

Weedeating, mowing, pulling and spraying weeds, painting fence, repairing fence, trimming trees and brush, and any other cleaning or maintenance that may need to be performed.

Putting out round bales and dragging arena if able to drive a tractor

Cleaning tack

Helping video and take pictures of sale horses.

There is the possibility for bringing some training horses or personal horses to our facility if someone is looking for a place to train out of, but not the possibility for giving lessons.
