Want to live remotely on a private ranch in north east Wyoming? We have an immediate opening for a full time all around individual. (This is not a manager position or a cattle position.) This individual must have experience working with and around horses. We raise Missouri Fox Trotters, therefore, GAITED HORSE experience &/or interest is preferred, but not an absolute requirement. We have brood mares and foals, a breeding stallion, a small string of trail horses and everything in between. This individual must have a genuine love and compassion for horses and their well being. You must also be hard working, honest, reliable, possess a positive attitude and have pride in your work. You must be neat and clean both individually and in your daily living routine. This position will be working hand in hand with the ranch manager caring for, and maintaining, our herd of Missouri Fox Trotters, along with other duties as assigned (ie; cleaning and maintaining our facility, yard work, landscaping, gardening, cleaning and maintaining equipment, etc.) THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME “HORSES ONLY” POSITION. This position will be required to work in the office setting when needed. Responsibilities could include ordering parts, completing horse records, following up on mail, returning telephone messages, updating the website and horse advertisements, communicating and dealing with interested horse buyers, etc. Salary plus housing and utilities are provided. Salary will be discussed based on experience. Key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: • Office, computer, internet functions • Horse care (stalls, feeding, grooming, handling, etc.) • assisting with doctoring, vaccinating, worming horses • wrangling • Trail riding / conditioning • cleaning tack and facility • Janitorial duties • landscaping/grounds keeping • running errands If you meet these qualifications please email your resume to lesleyharlow@vcn.com or call the main office at 307-682-4940 and leave a message.
