Description:
Hardworking, dedicated, honest cowboy needed for central Arizona mountain ranch. 600 plus head, USFS permit cow/calf operation less than fully stocked. Can be permanent position for right person. Ideal year round climate, ranch elevation ranges from 3500’ to 7000’. This is a mostly horseback ranch and work is about half horseback and half fence. Need to be able to handle basic health needs of both cattle and horses and able to shoe ranch horses. Need to be well organized and have ability to do some maintenance work. The ranch is BQA certified and practices low stress cattle handling. Our cattle are pretty gentle and we intend to keep them that way, cowhands that want to rodeo every day need not apply. Must be drug free and no more than an occasional light drinker. Pay commensurate with experience, training and abilities. Will provide feed for up to three usable horses.
