Description:
We are a family operated cow/calf ranch that is looking for a full time “right hand” man or foreman with cow/calf experience and skill in either farming or mechanics. We do most of our cattle work on ATVs, and much of our doctoring with a dart gun. This is not a "Cowboy" operation, however, if you want to use horses it will be permitted and encouraged in circumstances where it makes sense. A good roper can always be utilized.

Job Duties include doctoring, feeding, calving, handling, and general care of cattle, haying, swathing, fencing (repair and build), spraying weeds from an ATV, maintenance and repair on multiple houses and outbuildings, repair and maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment, and much more. Must be a self-starter, ambitious, and willing to work alone. We outsource very little, if it’s broke, we fix it. Trade skills such as carpentry, construction, plumbing, electrical, and engineering are a desired bonus. In person interview required and "local" applicants preferred.

Job Details:

500 head cow/calf pairs, 20,000 acres grazing, 600+ acres dryland hay. 60hrs/wk average, more in spring, less in winter. 150 upcoming first calf heifers for April 5th calving. VERY NICE just remodeled, 3 bed/2 bath house about 1/3 mile from headquarters. Brand new floors, paint, windows etc. Wages $2500 DOE. Housing, utilities, phone/internet, and beef provided as benefits. 25 minutes from town/school/stores.
