WILLING TO RELOCATE. I have experience in barn management, horse training, farm sitting, grooming, and vet tech work. I was the barn manager at a 40 head Morgan horse breeding and sale farm for the last 4 years. The barn has downsized so I am looking for my next adventure. I have extensive experience in: • Feeding (hay, grain, and other supplements required for 40 horses with different needs) • Breeding and foaling • Broodmare and foal care • Stallion care and riding • Euthanasia • Worming • Cleaning (stalls, runs, paddocks, pastures) • Farm equipment operation and maintenance • Truck and trailer operation and maintenance • Fence repair • Arena maintenance • Scheduling for vet visits, horse sales, and bulk hay purchasing • Hay pickup, transportation, and stacking In my barn management position, I was also responsible for ground work, arena and trail training the sale horses. I trained 20 horses and sold 7 in my time there. I have minimal formal training in a specific discipline, but I’ve owned and trained horses for 15 years, I have thousands of miles in the saddle. I spent 3 seasons volunteering as a trail guide at a trail riding organization. I have experience with parade training and performance. I’ve attended clinics for western dressage, cattle cutting and sorting, and reining. I’ve competed in endurance races and assisted a local rancher in working, branding, castrating, vaccinating, and performing pregnancy checks on cattle. I have experience in equine vet tech work, both schooling (BelRea Institute) and on-the-job. I have assisted with the following procedures: • Castration • Dental work • Acupuncture and chiropractic treatments • Wound care • Radiographs and ultrasounds • Vaccinations As a side job, I farm sit for anywhere from a weekend to two full weeks, caring for dogs, horses, pigs, cows and other livestock. I also groom and provide day-care services for any breed of dog or horse. I come with references and a resume upon request.
