Description:
We are seeking an Assistant Manager for our ranch. Your role will be to assist in managing up to 6000 yearlings and 2200 cow/calf pairs on meadows and range while improving the long-term production potential of the land. The Assistant Manager will be expected to work to learn ranch operations, the management vision, and integrate into the existing ranch system. You will be an active participant in the day-to-day operations of the ranch and work as part of the ranch team in jobs like irrigating, fencing, cowboying, planning and other work.

The ideal candidate for this position:

*Displays a positive, upbeat attitude

*Expresses an eagerness to learn

*Possesses strong communication skills

*Works well both alone and with others

*Is a self-starter with a strong work ethic

*Shows initiative in improving production

*Can live happily in a remote area

Agricultural interest and knowledge will be assumed, but we are more concerned with the above qualities than your current ranching skills. We expect this position to have a learning curve as you learn about our system as well as our vision for the future. We expect to pay you fairly depending on experience and skill and provide housing, utilities, internet, beef, and transportation. For the right person, this job could provide a lot of opportunity for growth within the company.

Please note that ranch location is very rural: more than an hour from town/school, and with almost no neighbors
