We are a small group of open-minded folks who strive to find better alternatives to conventional agriculture. We believe that everyone deserves wholesome food, which is why we specialize in providing USDA Certified Organic grass-fed beef and USDA Certified Organic cereal grains and legumes. We are a growing operation actively assembling a team of varying backgrounds and talents. We have big ideas and are looking for team members who are proficient in handling projects from inception to completion. We are currently seeking a Mechanic/Farm Hand/Ranch Hand to assist with farming, ranching, and equipment maintenance. We believe it is paramount to find the right fit for both employee and employer for our business to be successful because investing in our team is an investment in the future of our company. Who You Are: You are a positive person, with constructive thoughts and an open mind. You are patient and respectful with livestock, people, and projects. You are a highly motivated self-starter who is interested in meaningful work. As someone who appreciates minimally processed food, you think about the negative impact of industrial food production. Farm-to-table, Farm-to-school, Slow Food, and Community Sponsored Agriculture might be among the topics that interest you. You have an entrepreneurial drive and willingness to take on multiple projects simultaneously. You thrive working outdoors and recognize the purpose behind every chore. You might not have extensive farming or cattle experience, but you definitely have a strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy tinkering with vehicles and equipment. You have the potential to manage a farm shop and the ability, or desire, to operate a broad range of farm equipment. The Nitty Gritty: This is not a cowboy job, or a swinging-door operation for temp workers, and this is not a tourist destination on the Rocky Mountain front. Prior mechanical employment is pretty much required- servicing farm machinery, automotive repair, maintenance, and records. Familiarity with welding and fabrication is a plus. This is not a full time mechanic job- applicants must also have genuine interest in farming and ranching alongside mechanical responsibilities. Applicants should have some experience working in extreme temperatures in physically demanding roles. Compensation depends on life experience, skill sets, and overall compatibility.
