Description:
Hobble Diamond ranch at Big Timber, Montana has a ranch hand position available. We are a cow calf and hay operation with a small grow yard. We calve March through June. Excellent opportunity for a man who has interest in a ranch with a broad scope and goals to improve the cow herd, grazing techniques, and produce high quality feed for grow yard. Flood irrigation, wheel line and pivots. Up 2 two personal horses. Family is first. We operate at a high level, but love when family can get involved. 7 miles from Big Timber. Bus stop 1 mile from house. We have an internship program in the summer so passing knowledge to these young people is important to me and the owners. All cattle work is done horseback. Ideal candidate loves to be horseback, but knows that to be successful and profitable we need to be producing high quality forage, maintain equipment, and keep the ranch in excellent shape is the key.

3 bed 3 bath home with garage on ranch. Electric provided. 60% of health care premiums reimbursed monthly after 3 months. 1/2 beef per year after 6 months.

Feel free to ask questions we are looking for long term employee. 5 years experience in production agriculture is a must and education in ag related fields would be an asset but not mandatory.
