Description:
Schaefer Ranchwear was established in 1982 known as “America’s Finest Ranchwear” where garments are assembled at a family owned factory. Due to being one of the last US designers and manufacturers of genuine ranchwear for everyone, it is a staple of farmers, ranchers and rodeo people alike. Every garment is authentic and crafted on the same machines that have been used for generations. Schaefer Ranchwear is looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager that will help us grow and carry on the traditions developed over 30 year ago.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible to obtain new customers and event programs for all SCHAEFER products offered with the emphasis on apparel and continuing to build existing account base. They will drive their prospecting efforts through daily phone prospecting and face to face visits. Sales will be generated by both individual orders and wholesale program sales. They will develop the customer/program and will be responsible for sales retention within the customer/program as well as company marketing efforts. Compensation will include both a salary, plus commission for all sales generated above baseline.



• Planning and implementing strategies to achieve prospecting metrics and sales plans.

• Identifying prospective accounts and event programs that are the best match for our SCHAEFER product offering and operational capabilities.

• Managing, monitoring, and effective processing of all wholesale and event sales commitments and marketing efforts under the direction of the President.

• Lead and coordinate all outside sales or event set up needs with collaboration of internal team efforts.

• Identify individuals within each prospective company that has the ability to influence placing the SCHAEFER product and/or uniform buying decisions while developing KEY customer relationships.

• Leveraging the phones to identify and make initial contact with key buyers/decision makers, with the ultimate goal of getting a face to face visit to build the relationship and secure building SCHAEFER product orders.

• Conduct effective face to face meetings leveraging the various selling tools and product samples provided. Effectively assessing each prospect and customizing your approach.

• Consulting with each prospect to identify their current pains and then provide solutions within our product assortment and operational capabilities to address them.

• Conducting cold calls and or visits to maximize your time around scheduled visits. Minimum expectation is to cold visit 6 companies within the area every 3 months.

• Achieve prospecting metrics on a basis related to phone call attempts, cold visits, and scheduled visits. The minimum prospecting expectations are as follows:

• 30 phone call attempts weekly

• 1 cold visits bi-weekly

• 6 scheduled appointment visits each quarter

• Assist during Peak Business periods receiving and processing online customer orders

• Effectively leverage tools such as Inside View, LinkedIn, Google Alerts and others to maximize your prospecting efforts.

• Identify networking/marketing opportunities within industry that provide good ROI. Examples: Local tradeshows, networking groups, advertising in local publications, event sponsorships, etc.

• Completing a report to capture all key details related to each prospecting visit or marketing opportunity

• Providing leadership a detailed monthly forecast for projected annual sales related to orders/programs they were directly responsible for winning.



JOB REQUIREMENTS:



• Industry specific background strongly desired

• Minimum 4 years of sales experience and or marketing a must

• Face to face selling and relationship building experience a must

• Salesforce.com experience is a plus

• Inside View experience a plus

• LinkedIn experience a plus

• Strong computer knowledge including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WebEx, Outlook

• High level of initiative and assertiveness with proven track record to deliver results

• Strong relationship building and networking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong interpersonal, relationship, analytical and problem solving skills

• Self-motivated, growth oriented and goal driven

• Creativity and tenacity to sell ideas and solutions

• Ability to work in a fast paced, detail oriented, fun environment

• Identify and pursue “new” business opportunities

• Create an effective prospecting and marketing plan to maximize SCHAEFER Brand potential

• Sales analysis and forecasting skills
